Design 2547 Trident 164 High Speed Motoryacht
This high-speed aluminum trideck motoryacht was developed in 1990 for the founder of Trident Yachts. To achieve a speed of +34 knots, triple 16-cylinder MTU 16V396TB94 turbocharged diesels engines were envisioned, each rated at 2,900 continuous horsepower driving Kamewa 90S62 water jets. The outboard water jets were to be installed with steering and reverse buckets but the center-line water jet would be fixed and used as a boost engine in general.
